Demonstrated multidisciplinary design projects and the ability to tackle challenges through structured problem-solving and creative execution.
Context
During my Master of Design (M.Des.) in Communication Design, I had the opportunity to explore various aspects of design and grow both creatively and professionally. College was not just about completing assignments—it was a space where I learned to think, question, and create with purpose.
Branding - Gaming website
Brief
In class, students paired up with each other as clients. The task was to interview my client named Sankit by asking questions related to their interests and aspirations. The final output was to create a brand that reflects client’s personality. The overall duration was 3 weeks.
Moodboard
Based on the interview with him, I created a moodboard that incorporates a mix of visuals that showcase his key interests and characteristics. Overall, this mood board captures the essence of Sankit, both in terms of his personal and professional goals.

Persona of Client

Understanding the personality
Now after all the personality analysis, who really is Sankit?

These traits heavily influenced the concept of the brand I developed.
Sage - The Gaming platform
Introducing the brand named Sage with the tagline "Explore, Conquer, Create," taken from the highlights we discussed before. Here is a teaser of the product. Let’s dive deep into the brand philosophy and understand how it resonates with the personality.

Ideation
The initial idea for the brand was simple - Avatar + S = logo (heavy & complicated). So I later simplified the logo. Here is the final version.

This idea was inspired by Sankit’s love for gaming and his creative imagination.
Style Guide
I chose two clean and modern fonts: Montserrat and Poppins. These fonts convey professionalism and sense of modernity, perfect for today’s tech-savvy users. The color palette includes bold, vibrant teal blue along with shades of blue . Together, these colors evoke the futuristic, dynamic energy of gaming, while maintaining a grounded, reliable feel.

What is Sage?

Key Questions

Moodboard

Ideation and Storytelling
Uses an hourglass metaphor (past–present–future) to emotionally and visually narrate the transition from healthy oceans to stressed and damaged marine systems.

Behind the Scenes
The process involved iterative refinement, simplifying the data representation due to dataset limitations and emphasizing storytelling over precision detail.

Final Deliverable (A1 Poster)

Motivational Video Animation
This project shows the creation of a short motivational animation video from concept (script) to visual planning (storyboard) and finally to motion planning (animatics).
Script and Storyboarding
An original motivational story about a boy who procrastinates and encounters his parallel future self, triggering a moment of self-realization. Storyboarding visually breaks down the narrative into sequential scenes and was reviewed by faculty for feedback.

Animatics
Digitally hand-illustrated frames arranged in sequence to test pacing, shot flow, emotional beats, and visual continuity before final animation.

Magazine - Manali
We worked in teams of two for this assignment, this was a typographic design exercise using sourced text. Guided by design specifications, we explored visual composition, created a well-planned editorial layout, and aimed to build an engaging and readable flow throughout the design.
My topic was Manali for the layout design whereas my friend had Amritsar
Layout planning
For the layout design, I took inspiration from multiple platforms such as Pinterest, Behance, etc. Created wireframes that consist of textual content and picture placeholders to guide user through storytelling.

Font Pairing
Finding the perfect font is challenging, as it is crucial for readability, establishes visual hierarchy, and sets the overall tone of the publication. After much trial and error, we decided to go with Alegreya + Montserrat (serif and sans serif) for a polished look that aligned with the intended theme.

Final Look

Magazine - Logos and Designers
The assignment was about creating a magazines on 4 brand logos and any 2 graphic designers from a list shared by our faculty. I chose Unilever, Amul, Amazon and Apple and 2 designers - Herb Lubalin and Lindon Leader.

Here is a sneak peek of the magazine layout of the Unilever brand logo.

Photoshop and Illustrator
I built strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, using them extensively in my assignments. Photoshop helped me with visual storytelling using blending modes, smart objects, and masking to enhance compositions. Illustrator strengthened my abilities in vector-based design using the pen tool, from logo creation and iconography to infographics.
